Overview
The Headteacher and SENCO of a well‑regarded primary school in Everton are seeking a committed Phonics Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This opportunity involves working closely with EYFS and KS1 staff to plan and deliver targeted interventions designed to improve pupils’ Phonics, Reading, and Writing skills. The position is based on-site at the school.
Responsibilities- Work with EYFS and KS1 staff to plan and deliver targeted interventions to improve pupils’ Phonics, Reading, and Writing skills.
- Confidently deliver high‑quality phonics interventions and support children who may need additional help.
- Monitor progress and work collaboratively with class teachers and the school SENCO.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working in EYFS and/or KS1
- Strong Literacy and Phonics knowledge
- Availability to work five days per week
- Enthusiasm and creativity to inspire children and help them reach their full potential
As this is a newly created role, the position is set to begin as soon as possible and, depending on the impact of the interventions, may lead to a permanent post. The school is centrally located within Everton and benefits from excellent transport links, with free on-site parking available.
