Job Role - Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant with Phonics and SEN Experience
Location - L28 (Liverpool)
Start Date - ASAP
Salary - £92 per day
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 or 3 Qualification, experience with Phonics and SEN, looking for a rewarding new role? We want you to join a fantastic school in Liverpool who are offering a long‑term, full‑time role to start ASAP for a Year 1 class. The ideal candidate will have previous KS1, Phonics and SEN experience.

- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support to young children to support their learning through play and structured activities.
- Offer emotional, social, and pastoral support, helping children to develop confidence, independence, and positive self‑esteem.
- Support children with early communication, language, and personal development, including routines such as turn‑taking and listening.
- Assist children with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), by following individual support plans and adapting activities.
- Help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and well‑being.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents/carers to support children's progress and development.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of activities that support children's early learning goals and overall development.
- Previous experience working within Early Years
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
, with the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children. - A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning, development, and well‑being.
- An understanding of the additional challenges some young children may face and awareness of strategies to support their learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and routines of young children in an Early Years setting.
