Milk Education are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Tutor in the Liverpool area, the role of a Learning Support Tutor is to support students is to work with PEX and SEN students whilst they are waiting a new school place or specialist provision. As your role as a Learning Support Tutor you must have a good understanding of the UK Curriculum particularly in Maths and English from KS3-KS4.

You will also be supporting with confidence building, communication development and emotional support.

This role will be based in a hubs, libraries and homes.

About the role of a Learning Support Tutor:

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support

Develop personalized lesson plans and instructional materials based on the student’s needs and learning style

–
Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills

–
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians

–
Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure student success

–
Utilize various teaching strategies and techniques to engage and motivate students

–
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

About you:

–
Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting

–
Subject specialist and previous experience as a tutor

–
Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus

–
Strong ability to educate and communicate effectively with students of different needs, ages and backgrounds

–
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

–
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and assignments simultaneously

–
Reliable transportation to travel to tutoring sessions (if applicable)

–
Understanding of the UK Curriculum

–
Able to plan and prepare lessons

–
Effective in relationship building

–
Reliable and consistent
