Intervention Support Teaching Assistant – Full-time
Location:
Wavertree, Liverpool
Start Date:
January 2026 – July 2026
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Aspire People are working with a large, welcoming Primary School in Wavertree, Liverpool, who are seeking a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1. This full-time role is to start in January and is offered on a long‑term basis until July 2026.
The role:- Supporting learning across KS1 through targeted interventions and small‑group work
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and early maths development
- Providing in‑class support for pupils with SEND, adapting tasks where required
- Helping to implement individual support strategies and EHCP targets (where applicable)
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Working collaboratively with class teachers, SEND staff, and senior leaders
- Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teaching staff
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
- Confidence supporting small groups and intervention work in KS1
- Experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, learning delays, etc.)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- The ability to provide two professional references
- Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
