Overview

Job Advert SEN Tutor (Knowsley) Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced SEN Tutors in and around Knowsley to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in Maths and English from KS1 through to KS4.

  Knowsley and surrounding areas (local travel required)
• Hours:
  
  Approx. 25 per week, Monday to Friday (flexible within 9am and 3pm)
• Pay: GBP
  27-GBP
  30 per hour, depending on experience
• Contract:
  
  Ongoing, part-time, flexible
• Subjects:
  Maths and English (KS1 - KS4, depending on tutor preference)
• Start date:
  
  ASAP

• Strong SEN experience (minimum 2 years preferred) essential
• Experience teaching/tutoring within the UK curriculum
• QTS desirable (but not essential if strong SEN background)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to travel across Knowsley and surrounding areas
• Patient, empathetic, and caring approach to working with vulnerable pupils
• Confident delivering both Maths and English

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable pupils, many of whom have SEN. You'll deliver tailored 1:1 sessions, building structured learning plans that help children regain confidence and re-engage with education.

A flexible and therapeutic teaching style is often required to meet each pupil's individual needs. Tutors are also expected to complete weekly progress reports to support pupil development and monitor outcomes.

With flexibility, rewarding work, and pay between £27 - £30 per hour, this role is perfect for teachers who want to make a positive impact while working part-time.
