Teacher Active are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist provision in Liverpool that supports children and young people aged 11-19 with severe learning difficulties, complex needs, and autism. The school provides a caring, inclusive, and stimulating environment where pupils are encouraged to develop communication, independence, and life skills at their own pace.

• Providing individualised support to pupils with complex needs, both in the classroom and during personal care routines
• Assisting with learning activities, sensory play, and therapeutic programmes under the guidance of teaching and therapy staff
• Supporting communication and engagement using a range of tools such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory resources
• Promoting pupils' independence, confidence, and emotional well‑being in a nurturing environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide the highest standard of care and education

• Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs, learning difficulties, or disabilities
• Comfortable with providing personal care and supporting physical needs
• Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine desire to help pupils thrive
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Support Workers and Nursery Practitioners with relevant experience are warmly encouraged to apply
