Post CCT Fellowship in Interventional radiology (INR)
The successful applicant will be based predominantly at The Walton centre and to have a commitment to 7 sessions of Interventions. There will 3 sessions dedicated purely to academic and research activities.
On-call will be on a 1 in 5 for thrombectomy cover after the initial probationary period of approval at 6 weeks since the start of the post.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be based at The Walton Centre. The post holder will attend as necessary, the Clinical and MDT Meetings that occur at WCFT.
Proposed Sessions- 10 sessions in total
- 7 Direct Clinical Care
- 4 on average will be interventional sessions in the angio lab
- 1 of these will INR clinic
- 1 of these will be inpatient review of the patients and attendance at neurovascular MDT
- 1 of these will be for reporting and checking cases performed
- 3 sessions will be for academic/SPA activities
- Total of at least 1 peer reviewed publications
- 1 National or international presentation

Person Specification Legal Requirements- Inclusion on the Specialist Register
- Full registration with a license to practice with the General Medical Council
- FRCR
- Subspecialist Training in Interventional Neuro Radiology
- Understanding of the management responsibilities of NHS junior doctors
- Participation in a management training course
- Word processing, spreadsheet and database computer skills
- Attendance at IT course
- Publications in peer reviewed journals
- A proven track record in self-directed research
- Interpersonal Skills
- Organisational skills
