Kitchen Surveyor/Designer | Coventry, Birmingham, Leicestershire & Midlands areas | Monday to Friday; no weekends

Self‑Employed position with a starting salary from £130 per day plus mileage expenses. Salary depends on experience & location.

Our clients work closely with partnered kitchen manufacturers and contractors to provide the very best in‑situ kitchen survey and design service across multiple locations in the UK. The work mainly involves long‑term projects within the social housing sector, working on large‑scale kitchen improvement programmes for local authorities and housing associations in tenanted homes.

About the Role

This is a perfect opportunity for a better work/life balance – based from home and travelling to site each day. You will deliver high‑quality in‑situ kitchen survey and design service in tenanted homes, then return home to complete daily administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in‑situ kitchen surveys within occupied properties.
  • Design kitchens using Fusion 2020 CAD, Unity or similar software.
  • Manage time effectively and maintain a "Right First Time" approach, following approved design briefs.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients and tenants to coordinate visits and gather information.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations (e.g., gas) and social housing best‑practice guidelines.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks from home, including reporting and file management.
  • Travel regularly across the region and attend occasional overnight stays.
  • Use your own vehicle; mileage allowance is payable.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in completing kitchen designs within occupied properties.
  • Proficiency with Fusion 2020 CAD, Unity or similar kitchen design software.
  • Solid IT skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, Outlook.
  • Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safe design principles for tenanted kitchens.
