Overview

The Careers Officer – Film, Games, Business & Marketing (North) is responsible for supporting AD Education UK students and recent graduates, primarily from the School of Film & Games and the School of Business & Marketing, to transition successfully into professional work, higher study, or self‑employment. This will include proactively sourcing and promoting opportunities within the film, television, animation, VFX, games, esports, business, marketing, communications, and related creative/enterprise sectors.

The postholder will be based at either the Leeds, Liverpool, or Glasgow campus and will be required to travel between the three locations when needed to support departmental activity and student engagement.

The role leverages relationships with the wider AD Education UK alumni community as well as local, regional, and national employers in these industries, as directed by the Careers Manager and in liaison with the Artist and Creative Development Manager where appropriate.

They will provide administrative assistance across departmental activities and work closely with the Careers Manager to contribute towards Graduate Outcomes, employer engagement, and industry engagement strategies, ensuring that AD Education UK students and recent graduates are supported to progress into professional, sustainable employment aligned with Graduate Outcomes targets.

Key Responsibilities Principal Responsibilities – Administrative
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Careers Manager and Artist and Creative Development Manager across all departmental events and initiatives, including in‑curriculum and extracurricular events and project funding initiatives, with a focus on Film, Games, Business & Marketing pathways.
  • Advertise student and graduate opportunities – particularly those within film, games, business, marketing, creative production, and associated sectors, using social media, email, and the Careers+ jobs board.
  • Monitor the departmental inbox dealing with routine and non‑standard queries, including those that require an understanding of information outside the immediate work area and knowing who else to involve.
