Associate Director - Quantity Surveying Consultancy | Multi-sector | Leadership & Growth Role London I'm working with a well-established and highly respected consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor as part of a clear and considered growth plan. This is not a ' title inflation ' role or a loose generalist position. The business is deliberately looking for someone with strong multi-sector experience who enjoys operating at the point where technical excellence, client leadership, and commercial decision-making intersect.

The Opportunity You'll be joining a consultancy that has built its reputation on quality of service rather than volume of projects. The Associate Director role sits at the heart of project delivery and client strategy, with genuine influence over how work is won, delivered, and developed. The project mix is varied and stimulating, typically spanning commercial, residential, mixed-use, and private healthcare , offering enough diversity to keep the work interesting without diluting your expertise.

What You'll Be Doing Leading cost management services on complex projects from feasibility through to final account Acting as a senior point of contact for key clients, shaping long-term relationships Providing technical leadership and mentoring to surveyors and senior surveyors Contributing to business development in a natural, credible way - not hard selling Playing an active role in the direction and evolution of the consultancy What They're Looking For A Quantity Surveyor operating at Senior Associate or Associate Director level , or ready to step up Proven multi-sector consultancy experience with a strong technical grounding Commercially astute, with the confidence to advise clients at a senior level MRICS (or working towards with a clear pathway) Someone who values quality, autonomy, and professional integrity Why This Role Stands Out A genuine leadership position with visibility and influence Clear progression that's based on merit and impact, not time served A consultancy that trusts its senior people to shape how they work Interesting projects, engaged clients, and a grown-up working culture If you're an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys breadth of work but doesn't want to be a 'generalist for the sake of it,' this is a role worth exploring.
