Site Agent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major tunnel and shafts infrastructure project based in Liverpool. This is a 6-month contract opportunity offering a highly competitive daily rate on an Outside IR35 (CIS only) basis, with an immediate start available.

Role Overview

As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works. You will act as the key link between site teams, subcontractors, and senior project management, driving progress while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Overall management of tunnelling and shaft construction activities

* Planning and coordinating labour, plant, and materials

* Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and specifications

* Managing subcontractors and direct workforce on site

* Overseeing health, safety, and environmental compliance

* Reviewing and implementing RAMS and method statements

* Liaising with engineers, surveyors, and commercial teams

* Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet design requirements

* Reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Agent on tunnelling, shafts, or heavy civil engineering projects

* Strong leadership and site management skills

* Good understanding of temporary works, sequencing, and construction methodology

* Experience working on complex infrastructure schemes

* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications

* Ability to manage multiple work fronts and meet tight deadlines

* Right to work in the UK

What’s on Offer

* £380 – £480 per day, depending on experience
