Neway International are seeking SEND Caseworkers – Education Qualified to join our client based with Liverpool City Council.

Location:

Conleach Road, Speke, Liverpool, L24 0TY

Hours:

35 per week

Start Date:

03 March 2026

Pay Rates:

  • PAYE: £30.42 per hour
  • Limited/Umbrella: £40.00 per hour

Work Pattern:
Minimum 2 days per week on site at Parklands, Conleach Road, Speke, Liverpool L24 0TY

Their SEND team works collaboratively with schools, settings, families, and multi‑agency partners to deliver a child‑centred approach that promotes inclusion, achievement, and positive long‑term outcomes.

The Role

The SEND Caseworker will coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND, ensuring that Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans are produced, monitored, and reviewed within statutory timescales. The role involves supporting schools and settings in applying the graduated approach, needsn

  • Coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND.
  • Manage the EHC planning process from assessment through to placement and review.
  • Ensure all statutory timescales are met for drafting and issuing EHC plans.
  • Maintain a child‑centred approach, ensuring parents/carers and young people are fully involved.

  • Contribute to review meetings and support effective planning for children and young people.
  • Candidate Requirements
    • Recent experience within an educational or Children’s Services environment, ideally as a SEND Caseworker.
    • Strong working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and associated SEND legislation, including SENDIST regulations.
    • Experience facilitating review meetings and working in partnership with multi‑agency teams.
    • Experience working directly with parents and carers.
    • High‑level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including creating complex spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and manage a varied caseload effectively.
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Immediate availability preferred.
