Randstad is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our client's team. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Position description / Job description- Contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children.
- Maintain accurate records of children's achievements for parents/carers.
- Collaborate with parents/carers of children with special needs to ensure full integration.
- Support all staff and foster a positive team environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to uphold standards.
- Safeguard children by adhering to the company's safeguarding code of conduct.
- Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
- Participate in out-of-hours activities, such as training and staff meetings.
We're looking for you, if:
- Enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Interest in the care, learning, and development of young children.
- Commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
- Positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training.
- Previous experience of caring for or working with children (voluntary or paid).
- Understanding of Early Learning Goals.
- Knowledge of National Standards for the regulation of Childcare provision.
- Good organisational, record-keeping, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- Positive approach to inclusive practice with children and colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing working hours occasionally.
- Completion of a recognised Level 2 Childcare qualification (or working towards completion).
- Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace.
