Clerical Officer - Department of Medicine for Older People Band 3 Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Clerical Officer, 30 hours per week, 12 month fixed term, within the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology.
The post holder will work alongside the current admin team, providing clerical and administrative support with RTT – including validation and booking of clinics for our Diabetes Specialist Nurse Service and our Diabetes Pump service. They must be able to prioritise and manage their given workload and provide support when and where needed. Support to our clinical gerontology care group will also be required as and when need demands.

- NVQ 3 or equivalent in relevant area
- Previous NHS Experience
- Knowledge of the NHS – iPM, ICE, Choose & Book systems
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Previous clerical experience
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
