Administrative Support Officer
Permanent, part‑time 21 hours/week. Closing date:
12 March 2026
. The position is based in our Community Response Hubs in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Tarporley. We are developing hubs that bring together existing services to care and support patients across the Western Cheshire footprint, helping them return home from hospital or avoid admission where appropriate.
Key responsibilities:
- Process referrals, use patient allocation systems, scan/photocopy and upload documents to electronic records.
- Answer telephone calls and forward/redirect calls. Arrange meetings and take meeting notes.
- Perform general administrative and reception duties, including liaising with patients, carers, families and other health professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and support the team in day‑to‑day operations.
Essential skills:
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible “can‑do” approach, professional and friendly manner.
- Working knowledge of general office procedures and Microsoft Office; full training on CWP systems will be provided.
Qualifications and experience:
- NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent / relevant administration experience.
- Typing experience.
- Experience dealing with the public on the telephone and face‑to‑face.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act.
Other requirements:
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This is a permanent post offering the Real Living Wage hourly rate, with a pay supplement if the national A4C rate falls below it.
