Group Accounts Payable and Payments Assistant
Your Role

In this role you will ensure invoices are received and recorded in a timely manner via data capture software or manual processing. You will manage 2/3-way match processes, using relevant databases and accounting systems, whilst working with internal teams for coding, invoices and approvals.

You will research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, working with the supplier and internal stakeholders requesting credit notes or raising internal debit notes as and when required. You will reconcile supplier accounts on a regular basis (monthly/bi-monthly as a minimum). You will raise and manage the payment process for BACs, international and manual payments. Striving to achieve best practice, you will work towards agreed KPIs.

What You'll Bring

You will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to perform all tasks in a structured manner in line with agreed procedures, as well as:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to ensure all correspondence in clear, concise and accurate
  • High level or numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above
  • Previous Accounts/Finance experience for a large organisation would be beneficial
