Assistant Accountant | £30, | Liverpool

A successful and well-established retail/distribution company in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the month-end process by posting accruals, prepayments, and journals

Performing balance sheet reconciliations including bank, nominal, and general ledger

Preparing monthly KPI and sales reports

Assisting with preparing audits

Overseeing the accounts payable function including processing invoices, statement reconciliations, and payment runs

Managing the accounts receivable function including raising invoices and chasing payments

For this Assistant Accountant role, you must have:

Experience supporting month-end accounts preparation with knowledge of accruals and prepayments

Background in accounts payable would be advantageous

AAT part or fully qualified

A proactive, continuous improvement mindset to support process improvements
