Assistant Accountant

We are currently seeking an applicant to fill the position of Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for carrying out various accounting tasks within the finance team. The ideal candidate for the position must have a strong work ethic, desire to continuously improve, problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with various deadlines.

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Posting supplier invoices and payments
• Assisting with VAT returns
• Designing and implementing process improvements
• Reconciling intercompany transactions
• Communicating with customers and suppliers

• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Show initiative and be proactive when it comes to problem solving
• Ability and desire to improve existing processes
• Acts with integrity and is discreet when dealing with confidential information

• Knowledge of Xero is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
