Assistant Store Director, Customer Experience
Under the direction of the Store Director, the Assistant Store Director of Customer Experience will support execution of the front‑of‑house priorities within the 4 walls. The role involves maintaining selling‑floor service and merchandising standards to drive sales and customer experience, and coaching direct associate reports to meet key performance indicators.
Responsibilities- Ensure cashiering team is scheduled to maximize coverage and operates with urgency in managing the customer line.
- Ensure line leader greets and directs customers to the appropriate register and calls for additional associate/manager backup as needed.
- Follow all corporate directives and guidelines, keeping the area neat, clean, and stocked, and ensuring merchandise movement meets fast‑to‑floor expectations.
- Teach, coach and train associates to follow fast‑to‑floor return processes, ensuring merchandise is available to sell.
- Drive loyalty enrollments, Saks First acquisition and Connected Service behaviors for a seamless customer experience.
- Act as the primary Connected Service Coach to reinforce customer experience behaviors during peak traffic periods.
- Leverage and train walkie‑talkie expectations for flexible coverage to support customer needs.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns or call the appropriate level of management support to resolve issues in the moment.
- College associate diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of management experience in a comparable volume retail environment with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven sales record and results‑driven approach.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build strong customer relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and passion for sharing expertise.
- Ability to operate equipment such as radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Salary and Other CompensationThe starting salary for this position is between $69,000 and $74,000 annually. Salary factors include market, skills, experience, and other qualifications. The position is also eligible for a bonus.
