Department Overview

Treasury Management Services supports the bank’s commercial clients by delivering secure, efficient, and scalable treasury solutions that help them manage payments, liquidity, and day‑to‑day cash operations. The department is responsible for implementing and servicing key payment and fraud‑mitigation products, including ACH origination, wire transfers, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Positive Pay, and Business Online Banking.

Position Overview

The Treasury Management Services Intern will support the operational, analytical, and compliance functions of the department while gaining exposure to core commercial banking products, including ACH, wire transfers, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Positive Pay, and Business Online Banking. This role provides hands‑on experience with treasury operations, documentation management, and process improvement initiatives.

The intern will assist with Periodic Reviews, helping organize, track, and prepare required documentation to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal risk standards. They will also support the DIP process by gathering, verifying, and uploading files into Director, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

In addition to these responsibilities, the intern will contribute to efficiency and workflow improvement efforts by reviewing current processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining or automation, and helping develop practical solutions that enhance departmental productivity and client support.

This role is ideal for a student interested in banking, financial operations, compliance, or business process optimization.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identify efficiency opportunities: review current workflows, document areas for improvement, and help develop streamlined or automated solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office proficiency — especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Comfort learning new banking systems and navigating online platforms.
  • Basic understanding of electronic payments (ACH, wires, RDC, Positive Pay) or interest in learning.
  • Strong attention to detail for reviewing documents and entering data accurately.
  • Organizational skills for managing files, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Interest in process improvement or automation (identifying efficiencies, simplifying workflows).
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
