Our People Make the Difference! Are you looking to take on a dynamic and challenging role? OE Federal is seeking to hire a Junior Software Developer!
Your PurposeAs a member of the Digital Channels team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software on the Symitar Core System, as with other systems including web and online banking to meet the needs of the credit union. Your role will involve collaborating with users and departments to identify, research, evaluate and implement automation projects. You will leverage your expertise in Power On programming and Episys parameter settings to provide insights into system capabilities.
WhatYou'll Do
- Plan, design, and develop applications to enhance use of financial systems, maintain member data, and meet the credit union's programming needs utilizing Symitar core processing system.
- Perform complex programming tasks including designing, documenting, coding and preparing/maintaining system documentation, procedures, and operation instructions for each system developed.
- Analyze and test results to develop procedures for new, modified, and enhanced programs, and assist in analyzing and implementing new software products and applications based on business needs.
- Assist with automation, testing, documentation, development/adherence of Change Control procedures, defining system objectives and data requirements with business partners.
- Work consultatively with business units on project development, offering solutions to system and operational issues.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across departments and branches to deliver optimal and efficient service to our members. Uphold a standard of professionalism actively fostering positive relationships internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the credit union's products and services, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, Credit Union banking regulations, and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures and current promotions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in an applicable field and minimum 1 year of work experience in a Lead-level role, or High School Diploma/GED and minimum 3 years of work experience in a Lead-level role required.
- A knowledge of Symitar’s Episys Power On (formerly Rep Gen), Sym Form, XML, HTML, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Problem solving skills, ability to make sound judgment, and analytical skills; interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required to elicit requirements and communicate technical information to users effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.
- Must be capable of working agreed work shift and working before/after the work shift, when needed.
OE Federal Credit Union offers competitive compensation. The offered salary considers experience, education, training, internal peer equity, job location and other business considerations when extending an offer. The salary outlined is based on working in Livermore, California. The salary range will adjust to the applicant's work location. In addition to competitive salaries, OE Federal offers a comprehensive benefits package.
