Kiddie Academy has been a leader in education-based child care since 1981 with nearly 250 academies located in 28 states. Our Livermore Academy offers a capacity of 158 children and serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering full & part time care, before- and after‑school care and summer camp programs. A well‑reputed, national child care provider KIDDIE ACADEMY () is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DIRECTOR for their location in Livermore, CA.
Title:Academy Director Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations and maintain a center that meets or exceeds the company guidelines, licensing requirements, health regulations, and fire codes, and keep all permits and licenses current.
- Conduct tours for prospective parents, enroll new families, and assist management’s efforts to quickly ramp up and meet the academy’s enrollment goals.
- Create and execute local marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to drive new enrollments and maintain desired capacity.
- Recruit, train and retain quality staff. Handle staff scheduling and other personnel‑related matters.
- Establish positive working relationships and communicate effectively with corporate office, staff, parents, children, state licensing authorities, vendors and other members of the community.
- Manage the finances of the center effectively and within budgetary guidelines. Ensure all finance‑related record keeping requirements are met.
- Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education – Masters preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in early childhood education setting.
- 2+ years of experience as a Director of licensed child care programs.
- Solid understanding of NAEYC and/or NAC accreditation and CA state licensing standards.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (both written and oral) required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computers a must.
- Experience with managing budgets and implementing marketing programs.
- Must be physically agile, highly energetic and be able to work both indoors and outdoors.
