Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for
PARK ATTENDANT
This is a casual position working for the Parks & Recreation Department, reporting to the Parks Facilities Supervisor or their designee. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. An employee allocated to a position of this class will be responsible for assisting with the upkeep of assigned park, litter pickup and park entrance fees under the direction of the Supervisor or their designee.
Work requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions, carry out assigned tasks, good customer service skills, and ability to work in a high stress environment.
- Assist with the upkeep of assigned park
- Litter pickup
- Collect park entrance fees
- Basic knowledge of parks and rules
- Knowledge and skill in using basic maintenance tools and equipment and ability to perform routine basic maintenance or custodial tasks
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, participants, and visitors
- Ability to complete simple reports, count money and make change
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Minimum salary: $15.00 per hour
