Job Description
Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work both in our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In stores, technicians provide service to customers, handle rental contracts and invoices, check equipment operation, and demonstrate proper use as needed.
They also manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians repair units, test quality, clean them, and prepare them for return. They must have thorough knowledge of tools and manage inventory effectively by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
