Perform the task required to maintain and repair the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components of various types of equipment while working in field conditions.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems to determine the type of maintenance or repairs, which are necessary and report these to the Equipment Manager for approval prior to taking action.
  • Perform the preventative maintenance tasks per the manufacturer recommendations on the assigned equipment as approved by the Equipment.
  • Perform the require equipment maintenance and repairs as assigned by the Equipment.
  • Maintain quality standards by conforming to all manufacturer specifications for maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of each piece of equipment being repaired and report any potential or additional problems to the Equipment.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a reasonable and efficient.
  • Report any probable case of operator negligence or abuse to the Equipment.
  • Provide a report of all repairs and maintenance actions, including parts and time to complete, on each piece of equipment worked on, to the Equipment.
  • Provide a report of equipment time as charge to each job site while performing maintenance or repairs on.
  • Provide own hand tools as required to efficiently and defectively perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provide own special weather clothing required to efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks in severe weather conditions.
  • Observe all shop safety practices. Report all injuries and occupationally related illnesses immediately to the Equipment Manager.
  • Maintain your assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion. Maintain a sufficient stock level of fasteners, hardware, welding supplies and small quantities of appropriate fluids required to maintain and repair all assigned equipment.
  • Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Minimum Class

    B) and updated medical certifications with an acceptable driving history.
  • Any other duties as.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of brake systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of drive train repair.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of shop safety and OSHA.
  • Full understanding of DOT record keeping and drive time limitations and commitment to comply.
  • Must possess both verbal and written communication.
  • Possess knowledge of proper equipment maintenance and.
  • Ability to regularly lift/carry 30+ pounds and walk, climb and crawl on uneven surfaces and on top of EQ.
  • Compensation $35 - $40 an hour, commensurate with experience.
