- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech, media, and/or telecom environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, request for assistance, and timely notification to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, and exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions.
- Control access to the location by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site procedures.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems where assigned, and report observed concerns according to post orders.
- Complete detailed written reports, logs, and incident documentation, including patrol findings, access activity, and response actions.
- Coordinate with facility staff, IT teams, and/or other on-site stakeholders to support security-related operations during normal business hours and after hours.
- Support emergency and non-emergency procedures such as evacuations, weather events, and medical incidents by assisting with notifications, scene management, and documentation.
- Perform routine checks of critical areas such as data/telecom spaces, loading areas, and equipment rooms when assigned, reporting irregularities to appropriate contacts.
- Maintain a professional presence, follow appearance and conduct standards, and communicate clearly with the public, employees, and vendors while representing Allied Universal.
- Experience providing customer service is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
