Position

Description

As an Applebee's® Assistant Manager you will oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring guests and staff are passionate about their experience each day. Your role involves team leadership, problem solving under pressure, and fostering a positive environment while maintaining high standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, meeting unit objectives.
  • Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs.
  • Respond immediately to verbal guest complaints and correct them.
  • Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits according to Flynn Applebee's standards.
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels.
  • Prepare and present products meeting company standards with line checks.
  • Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands.
  • Maintain safety and security programs.
  • Promote and lead organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the restaurant.
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
  • Promote quality recruitment and referrals for potential team and management candidates.
  • Promote Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.
  • Maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and implementation of company policy.
  • Participate in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, contributing to evaluations.
  • Assess employee efficiency, provide fair feedback, and work with employees on development areas.
  • Monitor acceptable employee performance and document situations that may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Control costs in the assigned department.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct bi-weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM’s request and ensure completion.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork.
  • Maintain sanitation standards that meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards.
  • Serve as a role model for managers and employees.
  • Develop proficiency in all store-related technology.
  • Work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.
  • Use the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills.
Education and Experience
  • At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus.
Compensation

Applebee's® Assistant Managers earn $19 to $23.50 per hour, approximately $54,340 to $67,200 annually based on a 50‑hour work week. Potential monthly bonuses may be offered depending on location. No fixed Final date to receive applications.

Benefits

Competitive wages, profit sharing/bonus, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with match, paid vacation, paid sick leave. Managers with 6 months of continuous employment receive 5 days PTO until their first anniversary. Employees earn additional vacation time ranging from 40 to 200 hours per year based on tenure. Part‑time managers receive prorated PTO based on employment percentage.

Physical Standards
  • Work various shifts, including weekends.
  • Stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours.
  • Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
  • Read, write, and use small tools and equipment with finger and hand dexterity.
