Job Description- Promotes a positive patient experience by demonstrating caring behaviors, maintaining clear communication, and collaborating with the care team to provide safe, timely, and effective whole person care.
- Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
- Ensure the appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency. Other duties as assigned.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Performs related duties such as IV management in the neonate, lab collection, respiratory care and management, preparing delivery room for infant transition and care, and medication administration.
- General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques used in the assessment, care and treatment of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Nursery patients. [Required]
- General knowledge of the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications used in the care and treatment of Nursery patients. [Required]
- Skill to maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and others to create an environment that is conducive to carrying out the mission of the department in an effective manner. [Required]
- Skill to communicate (verbal and written) effectively to direct the overall professional nursing services in a manner which encourages the open exchange of ideas and information. [Required]
- Cerner / Epic [Preferred]
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- A minimum of 1 year of NICU experience [Required]
- 2+ nursery or mother baby experience [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range$34.26 - $59.24
