A typical day might include verification of product conformance to specifications and drawings through a variety of inspection techniques such as precision measurement tools, hand tooling, visual inspection, electrical test tools, and other tools and techniques. Upon completion of production, you will assist in executing testing such as vibration, stress, acoustic, functional, and thermal vacuum on spacecraft components before integration into the vehicle.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives working independently and possesses uncommon attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues if they arise. By working collaboratively with a team of world class technicians and engineers, our team ensures that the quality and continuous improvement is built into every level of the production and test process.

You will also work collaboratively to resolve anomalies, work to become an expert on requirements and specifications, and interact with the customer as needed. You will be an integral part of ensuring our dedication to 100% mission success is upheld.

This position is located on the beautiful Waterton campus in Littleton Colorado.

Typical role responsibilities include
  • Providing a variety of inspections on components as directed by work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to execute productions and test activities and determine if non-conformances exist
  • Perform a variety of preparation, in process, verification, and post production/test tasks based on work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement across the production and test cycle to eliminate quality control issues
  • Prepare electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware. (Qnote)
  • Effective oral and written communications
  • This position occasionally requires working off shifts, non-standard work weeks and overtime as needed to complete campaigns on schedule.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated inspection skills in a test and manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools for mechanical and electrical components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to access electronic specifications and designs
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including second shift, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
