Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Littleton, CO.

Responsibilities
  • Perform identified Move/Add/Change activity including all network modifications.
  • Move/ add connections in the network closet and terminate port connections at the end location (conference room, desk, office).
  • Execute necessary changes within the switch to accommodate port activation.
  • Assist with network design.
  • Support other network personnel with installation, modification, and maintenance of network infrastructure and components.
  • Basic network monitoring.
  • Set up and ensure operability of systems and hardware components before field deployment.
  • Analyze failed equipment, perform standard repairs, and test components or equipment.
  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.
  • Install, test, maintain, and repair telephones.
  • Perform data termination/activation in telecommunication closets.
  • Assist with telecommunications equipment and telephone switching equipment related to processing and transmission.
  • Analyze existing networks and design/customize networks to meet business needs.
  • Three years of experience as a Network Technician.
  • First responder to ITSM and Service Now problem tickets.
  • Provide customer contact, problem identification, research, corrective action, documentation, and problem closeout.
  • Support during off‑hours and weekends may be required for maintenance windows and break/fix.
  • Monitor, control, and isolate problems in a data communications network.
  • Monitor all network activity.
  • Activate/deactivate network lines according to established schedules.
  • First- and second‑level problem determination; level one is help desk.
  • Interface with users or network vendors.
  • Set up and test a variety of systems and hardware components before field deployment.
  • Determine if equipment is repairable in‑house or must be returned to the vendor; perform standard repairs and tests.
  • Test incoming repaired items from the vendor to ensure proper repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with standard IT security rules and regulations.
  • Physically install network assets (switches, routers, network tools & testing devices) in network closets and data‑center cabinets.
  • Logically configure network switches and tools/testing devices.
  • Complete patching of circuits into switches.
  • Clean up network closets, optimize switch ports, and perform survey work as needed.
  • Operate network test equipment (layer 1‑3).
  • Monitor and respond to network alerts generated from management tools.
  • Administer the ITSM / Service Now ticket queue; respond, update, and close incident tickets.
  • Support network break/fix actions to restore service to customers.
  • Meet network SLA and performance measurements.
  • Provide customer interface communication skills.
  • Take initial Tier 1 calls from customers or help desk.
  • Administer the network asset tool to assist in data integrity.
  • Administer network drawings and documentation tools.
  • Support after‑hours network change control maintenance windows as needed.
  • Assist other network personnel in maintaining organized network equipment storage areas.
  • Assist with network equipment RMA activities as needed.
  • Update and maintain Visio drawings.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $26 per hour.
  • Hours:

    9x80 Monday‑Thursday with every other Friday off.
  • Length:
    Contract (12 months).
