Director of Storage Infrastructure Reliability Engineering (IRE). You will lead a diverse global team responsible for the management, support, and improvement of Visa’s global storage infrastructure. The role involves managing the US team of engineers and collaborating with the Directors of Storage Operations in AP and EU locations. You will work with leaders from other infrastructure teams and cross-functional groups managing services and applications.

• Drive bottoms-up improvements for Storage Infrastructure Reliability Engineering, including Level-1 & Level-2 Incident management, Change management and Problem management.
• Lead crisis/incident event management.
• Engage with customers/partners to represent operational concerns and needs.
• Mentor technical staff and drive programs to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Establish best-practice methodologies for problem resolution in a global, 24x7, high-volume, high-availability production environment, based on metrics-based KPIs.
• Lead development of innovative storage operations processes and tools from concept to delivery with a focus on new technologies and automation.
• Provide leadership to manage demands from projects and technology upgrades, including recommendations for vendor tools/solutions and global alignment of storage infrastructure.
• Mentor, manage and motivate a high-performing team of senior professionals and set clear priorities to achieve department goals and KPIs.
• Manage oversight of complex storage operations processes using a mix of vendors, custom solutions, and internal resources.
• Exercise broad decision-making authority with potential material impact on cost, business planning, and Visa’s core business.
• Support the adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements to storage engineering, and assist in lab deployments for technology trials.
• Ensure information security and risk management are embedded within the culture, coordinating security and compliance across information systems and assets.
• Drive coordination and execution to mitigate cyber risk issues and emerging threats in a dynamic environment.
• Direct the secure operation, administration and maintenance of storage infrastructure, coordinating with Risk Management, Identity/Access Management, Information Security and Privacy, and Disaster Recovery teams.
• Lead innovation and strategic direction in storage design, configuration, administration, maintenance and/or support.
• Assist in developing a strategic roadmap to ensure storage operations goals are met.
• Ensure service level targets are met and address service-level complaints.
• Ensure storage operations comply with corporate standards and external standards such as ITIL, ISO
  27001/27002 and related guidelines.
• Participate in disaster recovery/business continuity activities as needed.
• Foster a unified culture through purposeful energy and collaboration.
• Establish standards and governance for future acquisitions to mitigate risk and maximize storage infrastructure stability.
• Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers; program-manage collaboration projects externally and internally.
• Lead a culture of storage security, stability, and performance through automation and Site Reliability Engineering practices.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
