The Service Advisors and Operations Associates at GFG provide full support to one or more Wealth Advisors and will support the daily financial planning operations needed to support clients. Those responsibilities include data collection for financial planning, investment analysis and operations, coordination of risk management solutions, trade execution, investment account maintenance, note taking, and drafting of client communication. This position will allow the Associate to get broad exposure to an integrated financial planning practice.
PositionResponsibilities
- Managing the financial planning process including, data gathering, setting up the plan using eMoney and Money Guide Pro financial planning software, developing scenarios, and preparing the plan for presentation to the client.
- Prepare Advisors for meetings with analysis of client’s financial situation including investments, benefits, and updated financial plan.
- Prepare and deliver account opening documents to clients.
- Proactively communicate with Advisors regarding work in progress.
- Regularly prepare supporting materials and sample reports for clients.
- Responsible for input of brokerage and advisory trading of client accounts.
- Coordination of insurance underwriting as a liaison between the insurance company and the client.
- Service and maintain client accounts (Ownership/Beneficiary changes, rebalancing).
- Take client requests for deposit and distributions from accounts and execute upon them.
- Respond to requests for service and trouble-shoot service issues.
- Answer inbound phone and email inquiries.
- Maintain all licenses for State and Federal Securities Law.
- Must be an above average communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must have an understanding of investments and general financial knowledge
- Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities
- Professional attitude, flexibility, demeanor, and appearance
- Previous work experience in the financial industry is preferred.
- BA/BS Degree required
- Financial Planning/Finance/Economics/Business Major highly preferred
