Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Employees may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher and must represent Regal consistently with our mission statement and policies. Key job expectations include regular attendance, handling emergency situations when called upon, general cleaning duties, and compliance with our dress code.

Candidates must be 16 or older.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons.
  • Upsell/suggestive sell Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and guest inquiries in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
Concession
  • Operate POS system, manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons and concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession equipment.
  • Upsell/suggestive sell to guests.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable.
  • Adhere to legal age requirements for alcohol sales/serving if applicable.
  • Complete training on sexual harassment and discrimination as required.
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in seating.
  • Enforce MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections for picture and sound quality, monitor for theft, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Report issues or discrepancies to management.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
  • Clean auditoriums, restrooms, lobby, and hallways after shows.
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Pay Scale Information

$16.00 / Hour

Benefits

Team members receive free movie passes and discounted concessions at all Regal locations. Eligible members may participate in a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match after reaching age 21 and completing six months of service.

Education/Experience

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.

For roles involving alcohol service, candidates must complete any required state or local training and obtain the Regal Responsible Beverage Server certification on Regal Online University.

Good public speaking, effective listening, and direct, clear communication.

Math Ability

Perform calculations quickly and accurately; identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate alternatives, and take decisive action under pressure.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers, and management; ability to set goals, budget time, and prioritize.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
