Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division delivers end‑to‑end engineering, integration, and field services that keep electrical power systems running safely and reliably. Within EESS, our Power Systems Controls (PSC) team develops the control solutions behind automatic transfer systems, generator paralleling, load management, and microgrid control. As we continue to grow, we are hiring a Training Specialist to help elevate our team’s technical capabilities.
In this role, you’ll develop, coordinate, and deliver training that ensures our engineers and field personnel stay aligned, skilled, and ready to support the evolving needs of our customers and the future of energy.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

TheKey Responsibilities Will Include
- Developing and maintaining technical training materials for PSC personnel, including instructor led courses and web based learning focused on control system architectures, software templates, and standard design practices.
- Delivering training programs that support consistent application of PSC engineering methods across projects and platforms, with the goal of reducing design variability and rework.
- Converting engineering standards, templates, and internal guidance into structured training content that clearly communicates technical intent, constraints, and common application pitfalls.
- Supporting onboarding of new PSC engineers by providing role appropriate training that accelerates time to productivity and reinforces expected engineering practices.
- Working with PSC subject matter experts to capture lessons learned, updates to standard designs, and evolving practices and incorporate them into training curricula.
- Supporting customer facing training activities when required, ensuring customers understand PSC control system operation, configuration, and maintenance at an appropriate level.
- Tracking training participation and curriculum coverage and providing feedback to PSC leadership to support continuous improvement of training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 7 years of controls experience OR Master's degree with at least 5 years of controls experience OR a minimum 10 years of controls experience in power distribution applications.

- Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in power system controls or industrial automation, including experience developing, standardizing, or teaching control system designs, software architectures, or engineering practices.
- Professional Engineering License
- Knowledge of Power Monitoring and Control Systems and associated protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC-61850)
- Safety Compliance:
Ability to successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety programs and policies, including role-applicable requirements of the Eaton Electrical Safety Standards (EESS) Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and all required initial and recurring certifications. - Industrial Environment Readiness:
