We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Space Electronics Center team. As an Electronics Test Intern, you will play a key role in driving cost savings and performance improvements in our production processes. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

* Review and analyze Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs) to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

* Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement design changes that reduce production costs and improve product quality

* Work with the quality team to identify and mitigate potential quality issues and implement corrective actions

* Partner with production leadership to improve 6S initiatives and optimize shop floor layout

* Collaborate with engineers and production technicians to improve tooling and troubleshooting processes

Basic Qualifications:

* Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Software, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related engineering major)

* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Power Point

* Must be a US Citizen

Desired

Skills:

* Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, etc.

* Familiarity with software such as Creo, AutoCAD, Zuken, etc.

* Familiar with programming languages

* Coursework in RF engineering, mechanics, CAD Drafting, lean manufacturing, power engineering, machining, automation/robotics, materials science, etc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
