This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

The Senior Project Engineer is accountable for all technical and commercial aspects of large and complex investment projects. Execution will be completed safely, timely, on budget and per the agreed scope and functionality. The role cooperates and communicates actively with project stakeholders such as plant managers and business leaders to ensure alignment at all stages of the project. The typical budget ranges from $5 M to $60 M and spans unit operations including material handling, abatement systems, utilities and electrical controls.

The ideal candidate will be based in Littleton, CO or near one of our Roofing System plant locations; travel flexibility is required.

• Execute investment projects with budgets of $5 M to $60 M with medium/high complexity according to the CPP process and requirements.
• Develop, guide, review, and present project feasibility studies and business cases that accurately identify project benefits, risks, and returns.
• Estimate costs of approved projects and determine resources and time required to complete.
• Drive the iteration of options to identify the most optimal technical solution meeting cost/performance improvements defined in the business case.
• Ensure that Lessons Learned are considered in design, evaluate vendors with procurement, and decide on the sourcing plan per the project RACI.
• Provide project management and oversight for all phases for multiple project assignments concurrently and drive projects to completion.
• Review mechanical and/or electrical controls detail engineering, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contracts.
• Coordinate, review, and manage external engineering resources and consultants.
• Develop bid request documentation, supplier lists, bid evaluations, and make purchasing recommendations.
• Design safe processes and specifications, ensuring ergonomics and safety are integrated into all design areas.
• Specify environmentally compliant equipment and processes, address permit requirements, and mitigate potential environmental issues.
• Prepare, review, deliver, and implement necessary training for maintenance and operations personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and drive a zero‑incident project environment.
• Work with engineering leaders and procurement to evaluate potential engineering firms and contractors.
• Maintain effective communication with management and project customers regarding status, problems, and changes; apply lean manufacturing concepts to all aspects of design and project execution.
• Organize, document, and archive project documentation.
• Maintain a continuous lessons‑learned logbook, analyze after project completion, and communicate results to the engineering team.
• Collaborate proactively with process engineers, production, and maintenance departments to solve process and equipment issues and identify improvement opportunities.
