Description
Responsible Product Engineer – Flight Computer (FC) for next‑generation interceptor (NGI) program. Lead development and certification of flight computer hardware.
LocationYou will be based near Lockheed Martin Space facilities in either Sunnyvale, CA or Littleton, CO. This position does not support teleworking.
Work ScheduleFull‑time, flexible 9x80 schedule in the office.
Key Activities- Develop and certify supplier avionics product for the flight computer.
- Participate in engineering reviews, EMRB hardware discrepancy decisions, and FRB as required.
- Resolve test anomalies through troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Generate End Item Data Package for product certification and integrate assemblies into higher‑level assemblies.
- Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.
- Experience as a responsible engineer / product lead for analog and digital electronics.
- Experience working with subcontractors and sub‑tier suppliers.
- Familiarity with engineering processes, disciplines, and subject‑matter experts.
- Experience with failure investigation (root‑cause analysis, FRB).
- Experience supporting technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
- Experience through different phases of aerospace electronics component development cycle.
- Effective communication skills – presentations and written.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in development of analog or digital electronic circuitry.
- Experience as a responsible engineer or technical lead for analog/digital electronics.
- Electronics product engineering, avionics hardware certification.
- Integration of electronics between flight systems, MGSE, EGSE, processing equipment, test fixtures.
- Development of integration and test plans; support for system/subsystem integration testing, environmental and ground testing.
- Presentation skills and associated tools.
- Knowledge of subsystem/system requirements and process.
- Successful testing of multiple CCA types.
- Material Review Board (MRB) certified in at least one line of business.
- Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics.
- Missile/aerospace education or background.
- System performance monitoring and evaluation.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics, ORCAD, Zuken, or comparable drawing packages.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.

Compensation and BenefitsAnnual base salary range: $104,500 – $184,115 in California, Massachusetts, New York; $120,100 – $208,150 in major metropolitan areas. Salary range reflects work location. Incentive plan eligible.
