Systems Software Integration Lead Engineer – Denver, Colorado
Lockheed Martin Space seeks a highly motivated professional to lead software integration for spaceflight hardware and systems. The role supports the Global Security team and drives integration, test, risk reduction, and capability development.
Responsibilities- Integrate spaceflight hardware and software from component level through system integration and test.
- Perform hardware/software interface compatibility analyses and system performance evaluations.
- Lead hardware/software integration risk reduction planning and test execution.
- Conduct studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities and define interface and execution plans.
- Develop plans to on‑ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission.
- Lead software‑based and hardware‑in‑the‑loop system test planning.
- Coordinate design reviews, technical product reviews, failure investigations, and anomaly resolution boards.
- Utilize digital tools such as Cameo for model‑based systems engineering and DOORS for requirements management.
- Knowledge and application of systems engineering processes and one or more systems integration functions, including system trade studies, requirements and interface control document development, integration, test and verification, and test planning and execution.
- Experience developing, integrating, and testing software and/or firmware.
- Experience analyzing the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products.
- Experience with command and telemetry databases.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (DoD or DoE equivalent).
- B.S. in Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience leading multi‑discipline teams and collaborating across disciplines.
- Strong system thinking and the ability to solve complex problems on tight schedules.
- Experience managing latency and timing budgets and integrating system interfaces across the OSI model.
- Familiarity with SysML and Cameo, and experience with data thread integrity.
- Ability to influence results without direct authority and operate in a dynamic environment.
