- Perform detailed thermal design and analysis on spacecraft components and the entire spacecraft thermal system
- Provide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews
- Present design and analysis data to the spacecraft design/engineering team, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and formal design reviews
- Provide review, interpretation, flow‑down, and implementation of program requirements
- Provide test support for component‑level and system‑level thermal tests
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education
- Expertise with thermal analysis methods and processes (e.g. heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, classical hand calculations)
- Expertise with finite difference and/or finite element numerical solution tools (e.g., Thermal Desktop, SINDA, NX Thermal)
- Active Top Secret or SCI Security Clearance
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in thermal analysis of space structures
- Experience with analysis and test of thermal environments (e.g., thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, thermal balance)
- Experience with engineering level computer programming (e.g. Matlab)
- Experience with test engineering, instrumentation, data collection, and/or test reports
- Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and quickly and efficiently drive to closure
- Willingness to mentor and develop junior engineers
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
- Ability to occasionally support 24/7 activities

Pay & BenefitsPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
