Bridge Design - Entry Level

Ideal candidate will have 0-4 years of related Bridge Design or Civil Engineering Design experience.

• A minimum of a BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• E.I.T preferred but not required.

Level of Supervision will vary depending on years of related experience.

• Review and check standard structural design calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, Micro Station, AutoCAD, etc.
• Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.

• Salary ranges are subject to change based on Geographic Location and total years of related experience.
• Colorado State Salary Required Posting:
  • For Current open Entry Level Engineer, salary range in Colorado is between $69,000 and $80,000
