The Arapahoe Libraries offers families a menu of quality early learning opportunities to prepare our youngest patrons to succeed when they get to school. We are looking for volunteers who have a passion for working with young children (ages 0-5) and their families. We have volunteer opportunities with the following programs:
Little Explorers: A STEAM-based program for children ages 2-5. You will assist the librarian with check-in, set up, cleanup and interact with families at activity stations. The occurrence is monthly at area libraries. Current opportunities include:
Eloise May Library, First Friday of each month from 9am-12pm
Southglenn Library, Third Wednesday of each month from 9am-12pm
You Have:
- Ability to work with attention to detail.
- Ability in being organized and reliable.
- Ability to work with people from all backgrounds and age groups.
- Ability to demonstrate positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively and openly communicate with library staff.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to travel to library location where program takes place.
