Position OverviewThis contract position is ideal for a licensed Special Education Teacher with a passion for supporting middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role focuses on delivering targeted small-group instruction within an in-person setting. This opportunity provides a manageable caseload and a supportive school environment while offering flexibility with a month-to-month contract.
Responsibilities- Deliver small-group academic instruction and support to groups of approximately 58 students with mild to moderate special education needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education staff, and support teams to ensure cohesive student support
- Assist with affective needs programming as required, while primarily focusing on mild/moderate disabilities
- Provide all services on campus during regular school hours
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teacher license with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Ability to provide in-person support; virtual candidates will not be considered
- DORA licenses do not satisfy the requirements for this position
- Competitive hourly rate ($38-$45 per hour) commensurate with experience
