Job Title: Smart Home Experience Director
Location: Sterling Ranch, CO (Full-time, On-site)
Lumiere Fiber is an internet and smart home service provider, uniquely positioned as real estate developer-owned and focused on delivering premium solutions to new construction homes. Our mission is to deliver a “5-star experience” to every resident we serve through best-in-class technology and exceptional customer support.
At Lumiere, you aren't just a cog in a machine, you’re helping build a new city from the ground up as part of a small, hands-on, entrepreneurial team. We live by our values:
Respect (work in service), Excellence (nail the details), and Ingenuity (be the spark). We’re a place for people who take meaningful ownership of their work, are willing to roll up their sleeves, and care deeply about delivering real outcomes for the communities we serve.
The Role
We are seeking a Smart Home Experience Director to own and grow Lumiere’s smart home business line, connecting complex technology with the realities of daily work and living.
You own the smart home business end-to-end. This includes shaping program vision and standards with developers and builders, overseeing commissioning and homeowner onboarding, and driving long-term resident experience. You have meaningful influence over standards, partners, tools, and product direction, and you are accountable for the performance of the smart home business line, balancing customer experience, operational execution, and long-term value creation.
- Homebuilders, who need smart home integration that fits seamlessly into their construction schedules and processes
- Homeowners, who expect a magical experience delivered with reliability and consistency
Day-to-day execution is primarily handled by contractor partners across installation and support. You lead through systems, standards, and accountability, stepping in personally when judgment, accountability, or senior presence is required.
As the business grows, you drive expansion into new product lines (such as security monitoring, cameras, and upgrades) and new communities, building the systems and operational structure needed to scale without sacrificing experience.
Year One Focus: Formalizing and systematizing the existing smart home operation, strengthening performance through clear standards and accountability, elevating the homeowner and builder experience, and laying the foundation for future growth.
What You Will Do
- Lead the Vision:
Advance Lumiere’s smart home strategy, identifying workflows, tools, and features that improve experience and increase lifetime value - Bridge the Gap:
Manage relationships with developers, builders, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth integration and execution - Obsess Over
Experience:
Use homeowner feedback, usage data, and support insights to drive continuous improvement - Drive Execution:
Oversee installation standards, partner performance, and builder enablement to ensure consistent delivery
Who You Are (Your Native Genius)
- A Collaborative Leader:
You bring people together, communicate clearly, and make it easier for teams to work well with one another - A Strategic Problem Solver:
You look at a challenge (technical or relational) and see the opportunity for innovation - A Ruthless Executor:
You nail the details. You don't just have ideas, you have roadmaps, action plans, audits, and follow through that shows up as consistent team execution in the real world - Most Importantly:
You take true ownership. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves when it’s the best way to solve a problem, while still building systems and teams so the same issue doesn’t happen twice
Qualifications
- Experience in smart home technology, home automation, security monitoring, internet service, or residential real estate development
- Strong understanding of home connectivity, Wi-Fi, and smart home ecosystems
- Data-driven mindset with experience using customer experience and reporting tools
- Experience working with homebuilders or master-planned communities preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, in-person role, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend availability during key activities
- Target total compensation: $120,000-$150,000 (base salary plus performance bonus)
