Pay Range$41,800.00 – $57,400.00 Annual. This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position OverviewThe Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing all visitors, including clients, job candidates and customers. The receptionist also acts as back up to the telephone operator.
Your Day-to-Day- Manage the company lobby area
- Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers
- Ensure completion of paperwork, sign‑in and security procedures
- Use paging system, as needed, to locate employees and announce emergency alarms
- Process all incoming calls and call 911 when requested by the emergency action personnel
- Notary of documentation
- Coordinate site tours
- Employee update reporting
- Safety reporting for plant
- Maintain Welcome Board in Lobby
- Back up telephone operator as needed
- Answer, transfer and direct incoming calls using a computerized database for information access
- Provide routine information upon request and keep up to date with daily campus activities to provide callers with current information
- Schedule conference rooms and set up video conference calls, as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of employee computerized database and notify ITD security process of updates
- Instruct employees on how to use telephone in respect to international, video and conference calls
- Relay instructions and assist with new staff training
- Receive emergency calls, forward calls to appropriate departments, and ensure callers reach appropriate people.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous office and medium to high volume phone experience a plus
- Multi‑phone experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Minimal travel may be required (0 ‑10 days per year)
- Work environment is typical of an office setting
