Description

Position Purpose

The Accounting Intern will support the Accounts Payable team by assisting with a vendor account audit and helping ensure accurate and complete vendor information in our accounting systems. This role provides hands‑on experience in accounting processes, system navigation, report generation, and professional communication with vendors.

Pay Range: $17.84 - $19.23 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Audit vendor accounts to ensure accurate setup and ongoing compliance.
• Review and validate vendor information, including 1099 status and tax documentation.
• Update and correct vendor records within the accounting system as needed.
• Contact vendors via email and phone to confirm details and obtain missing information.
• Build working knowledge of internal accounting systems to access and extract key reports.
• Partner with the Accounts Payable team to support day‑to‑day operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers and internal teams.

Physical Requirements

• This position may require lifting up to 25 lbs. from floor to counter top and counter top to floor.
