Pay & Benefits

Pay of $20.03 per hour, with the opportunity for future increases per applicable collective bargaining agreement wage scale based on time in position. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums.

Job Summary

Additional details

• This is a part-time opportunity. Part-Time Employees generally work 32 hours over 5 days, with schedules determined by a seniority-based bidding process.
• New hires complete 4–6 weeks of training (8 hours of classroom or on-the-job training over 5 days each week).
• After training, Part-Time New Hire schedules are 6.5-hour shifts over 5 days, with potential for mandatory overtime.
• This role is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); pay, schedules, and other details are set through the agreement with the labor union.
• Work schedules are based on seniority and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Mandatory overtime may be required to support flight operations, with opportunities to trade shifts.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no current or future sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external Customers
• Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of the Company
• Provide legendary Customer service to travelers, cargo, or baggage service by servicing aircraft at ramps and terminals
• Load, unload, service, guide, and direct Company Aircraft
• Receive and record Customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials
• Handle loading, stowing, and unloading of baggage, cargo, airmail, and company materials; submit Cargo Bin Loading Slips as required
• Transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft and prepare records
• Inspect and manage air cargo handling for accuracy and safety
• Safeguard Customer baggage, air cargo, air mail, and COMAT from weather, loss, theft, damage
• Utilize jetway stairs to move items to aircraft
• Review cargo forms for accuracy and correct as necessary
• Perform interior aircraft cabin cleaning and waste disposal per procedures
• Clean and service lavatories and operate related equipment
• May perform duties of a Provisioning Agent as needed
• Transport cabin and cleaning equipment between aircraft operations
• Operate and/or drive motorized equipment (e.g., belt loaders, lift trucks, tugs)
• Work in various airport environments and adhere to safety practices
• Complete forms and paperwork per procedures and enter data into the Company system
• Duties may vary by station size and organization
• Provide friendly service to Co-workers and Customers; interact with external partners as needed
• Meet any physical ability requirements listed
• May perform other duties as directed by Supervisors

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work well with others as part of a team and under pressure
• Ability to complete Ramp Agent training with a 90% average or higher
• Ability to read documents, follow instructions, and understand ramp procedures
• Aware of hazards and able to handle emergencies
• Ability to work under tight time constraints for quick aircraft turns
• Meet grooming standards as outlined in guidelines
• Communicate effectively via radio or verbally
