Driver Lead

Assists Transportation Manager in the supervision of drivers and helpers while also supporting the department by performing other duties as assigned. Train new drivers and driver’s helpers on Glazer’s employee and delivery policies ensuring that all new personnel clearly understand how to perform their job duties and present themselves appropriately to customers

• Assists Transportation Manager in the supervision of drivers and helpers while also supporting the department by performing other duties as assigned
• Trains new drivers and driver’s helpers on Glazer’s employee and delivery policies ensuring that all new personnel clearly understand how to perform their job duties and present themselves appropriately to customers
• Assists with monthly safety and training meetings as directed
• Performs the function of delivering invoiced products correctly to customers when needed and helps ensure customer service levels are maintained and exceeded by all delivery employees
• Drives company equipment in a professional and safe manner at all times
• Helps ensure that check-in procedures are followed on the dock
• Ensures that truck service and safety issues are reported daily
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• One year of driver experience
• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid CMV / CDL / Class A or B license
• Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs. for an extended period of time.

• Strong communication skills – Verbal, Written, and Presentation
• Strong leadership and managerial skills and comfortability with directing and coaching others.
• Good organizational and time management skills

• Able to perform job-related task without hindering the safety of employee or others
