Purpose of PositionThe Dewatering Division Field Technician is responsible for executing field service activities at customer sites; this includes troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, and repairing pumps and support equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Perform all necessary field service activities at customer sites, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to pumping and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing of equipment, especially on Godwin fleet equipment between rentals.
- Identify and address safety issues related to both company and customer-owned equipment.
- Interface directly with customers to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
- Provide basic maintenance on tools and equipment across locations and project sites.
- Participate in equipment-specific training.
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities and equipment conditions.

- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with diesel engines
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology, preferred
- Experience with industrial pumps specifically Centrifugal, Submersible and vertical turbine pumps, preferred
- Knowledgeable in repairing Flygt, Myers, KSB, Grundfos, Viking, Aurora, Hydromatic, Fairbanks Pumps, preferred
- Ability to read and understand diagrams, complex drawings and manuals
- Experience with electricity, controls, and troubleshooting motors/pumps, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment with a positive attitude and dedication
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and Holidays, both scheduled and unscheduled as required
- Resilient and flexible in managing your response to competing demands, competing priorities, and change
- Ability to collect, manage, and file field documents such as field logs, project assessments, breakdown and preventative maintenance logs in a timely manner
- Ability to work and communicate within a team structure is critical, and strong communication skills with individual team members and project managers are expected
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical to obtain a Medical Card
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly
