Job Title:
Hoist and Crane Service Technician
As a Hoist and Crane Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to work from the moment you leave your home until you return, with pay covering your travel time. You will be provided with a company vehicle, which includes service, insurance, and fuel costs covered by the employer. Occasionally, overnight stays are required based on logistics, with a per diem, gas card, and company card provided for accommodations.
Responsibilities- Clock in using an app upon departure and head to the job site.
- Receive job instructions via the app, which could be a quoted job with specific repair instructions or a non-quoted job requiring troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and repair cranes, including issues such as cranes not moving correctly.
- Visit plants to pick up tools, parts, or scissor lifts as needed and return them after completing the job.
- Report on repairs made and maintain detailed records of services provided.
- Proficiency in crane service and repair, including electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform crane inspections.
- Experience with welding and using hand tools.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, VFDs, contractors, and 3-phase electric motors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic tools required.
- Ability to work on-call rotation (1-2 times a month for a week) in a 24/7 facility.
- Physical ability to walk extensively, climb, and lift over 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with heights, including working in scissor lifts up to 30 ft or man lifts up to 100 ft.
- Strong soft skills and a sales-like mindset to effectively communicate with clients and identify potential issues proactively.
- Self-starter and ambitious with a problem-solving attitude.
This position offers competitive hourly rates with opportunities for overtime pay, including time and a half for extended hours, Saturdays, and certain shifts, as well as double time for Sundays and overnight work. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Additionally, there is potential for monthly bonuses and year-end incentives, fostering a culture of achievement. WorkEnvironment
The work environment varies based on the client serviced, often involving steel mills, which can be dirty, dusty, and non-temperature controlled. Technicians must be prepared to work at heights in various lift equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Little Rock, AR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $93,600.00/yr. Overtime includes time and a half after 8 hours in a day, time and a half on Saturdays, time and a half for hours worked between 6pm-12am, double time on Sundays, and double time on time worked between midnight and 6am. Monthly bonus potential could be up to 8% of monthly income.
Year-end incentives are based on quarter performance. The culture is flexible once earned, with a strong team.
This is a fully onsite position in Little Rock, AR.
