Account Executive - Core Commercial - Arkansas (Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, 72227)
Mohawk Industries is seeking an Account Executive who can do more with Mohawk. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded, organized, high-energy, proven winner, and self-starter, who thrives in fast-paced and complex selling environments with multiple stakeholders across segments and channels.
This is a sales position acting as the principal selling agent within the assigned territory for the company to achieve the short and long-term objectives established in the company’s Business Plan. Objectives will be achieved through the discovering of new customers and existing markets in the assigned territory. May be assigned to a specific market segment when role is based out of a major metropolitan area.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Performs sales calls including traveling to customers and potential customers’ facilities, providing information and support; makes sales presentations to prospective and current clients; calculates and quotes prices, takes orders and closes transactions; contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services; utilizes persuasive sales and negotiation techniques; answers questions concerning products or services with appropriate referrals where required.
- Monitors territory performance against established objectives/guidelines and takes action to improve performance.
- Provides customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies; communicates customer requirements and requests support from other departments as necessary; provides product-specific customer feedback to product line managers, management or customer service personnel as appropriate to assist in achieving company objectives.
- Assists in establishing sales objectives for the territory in conjunction with the Regional Vice President and ensures sales activities comply with policies, procedures, and practices; uses good judgment to maintain professional standards in the absence of formal guidelines.
- Stays abreast of industry, product, economic, and territory changes that may impact sales; provides timely reporting of field activities and special reporting to assist in business and product planning.
- Assists in developing a territory coverage plan defining the type of support and frequency of customer contact required to meet territory goals.
- Performs analysis on regional opportunities and develops forecasts for sales by customer and product; identifies additional activities, training or materials needed to achieve goals in key accounts and markets; identifies and continuously improves activities that affect customer perception.
- Provides recommendations for expense budgets; manages business expenses per corporate guidelines; ensures assigned company-owned equipment and materials are used and maintained as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of progressively responsible work-related experience and any combination of education and training providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s diverse business and product lines.
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to interact and negotiate with internal and external customers at all levels; ability to communicate in tense situations with professionalism.
- Ability to work with diverse groups, achieve results through teamwork, and persuade, market, and sell new ideas.
- Ability to gather, analyze statistical and financial data to develop solutions.

- 75% - 100% domestic travel via land and/or air. May be required to lift and move up to 50 lbs without lifting aids.
Vision requirements are comparable to that required to maintain a valid driver’s license. 100% body movement is required to perform the job, such as standing, reaching, climbing, use of all major limbs, etc.
